The photos below are from our visit to The Golan Heights of Israel. The land borders both Syria and Jordan, so as journalists we were naturally curious of what it would be like in a territory so close to conflict. Imagine miles of empty land, bombed bunkers, and agriculture/grape fields. Fun fact: The Golan Heights is also known for their wineries! After a half hour of driving up a mountain in a Safari Jeep (probably one of my more favorite moments from the trip), we landed at the Pelter Winery for some delicious wine and cheese tasting. After three hours of traveling in traffic from Tel Aviv, you can be sure that I drank as much wine as I could during the tasting!
