Femme & Fortune Rebrand

April 8, 2015

I’m addicted to rebranding. Something about scrolling through Pinterest and getting those pings of inspiration each time. For me, the vision of Femme & Fortune was always a work in progress. I started the site with my good friendΒ with the hopes of becoming a popular online magazine for women. It went through slow stages of neglect and fast stages of progress. One of the many reasons I wanted to start The Hive was so that I could have a headquarters and official presence for Femme & Fortune. I even contemplated naming this space “Femme & Fortune” just because it matched the mission and goals of the space – a creative community space for women to excel in their career. I went back and forth with the brand, and decided to name this space The Hive to differentiate it a bit. Thinking about it now, I’m wondering if I should have kept it under one name…oh well!

I love the rebrand, and I’ve definitely noticed the more cohesive social presence (great job, Jade!)

P.S. I like that you went with The Hive and I think it really captures the spirit of your space πŸ™‚

I love reading about how your mind works. Invaluable insight.

“Aubergine” opposed to “Egglplant” = smart word choice. Reminds me of one of my favorite women: Nigella Lawson. She always used that word on her old cooking show. I need to Google “serif” after i type this comment. I’m happy you’ve found teammates who ooze initiative; that’s extremely rare. Parisienne. You’ve always loved Paris. The colors + the photo of the ladies at the cafe makes me hear music. How exciting πŸ™‚

    • Jorddyyyyyyy thanks for reading! Serif – fonts that have a slap or sharp stroke on the ends. More of the classic fonts like Times New Roman, Baskerville, etc.

      And let’s play soon! xoxo

    So clean, chic and fresh.

  • I love that F&F constantly is evolving. It’s also easier to do (and perfect of course) with a smaller following. Loving it.

    best,
